marine plywood
Marine plywood is a high-quality, waterproof plywood designed for marine applications, such as boat building and repair, dock construction, and coastal furniture and fixtures. BWR (Boiling Water Resistant) and BWP (Boiling Water Proof) are two grades of Marine plywood.
Water Resistent
BWR GRADE
Made with phenol-formaldehyde (PF) resin, BWR (Boiling Water Resistant) grade plywood is a type of plywood that meets the Indian Standard (IS) 303 specification. Suitable for interior applications with moderate moisture exposure, such as furniture making, interior paneling, and kitchens and bathrooms, and can withstand boiling water for up to 8 hours.
BWR plywood is made from phenolic resins and treated with chemicals to make it more resistant to warping, swelling, termites, and borers. It’s also warp-free and has cohesive bonding.
- Boiling water resistant
- PF resin
- Interior use
- Cost-effective
- Moisture resistance
Water Proof
BWP GRADE
BWP grade plywood meets Indian Standard (IS) 710 specification and is suitable for exterior and high-moisture applications, such as exterior furniture, boat building, and high-moisture areas, and can withstand boiling water for an extended duration (up to 24 hours). BWP grade is made with melamine-urea-formaldehyde (MUF) resin, making it more durable and water-resistant.
BWP (Boiling Water Proof) plywood is made with phenolic resin, a synthetic plastic resin, to bond hardwood veneers together.
- High Water Resistance
- Durability
- Resistance to Rot and Insect Damage
- Stability and Strength
- Low Maintenance
- Meets International Standards
